Lloyd’s-backed cyber start-up Trium nabs industry veteran for top claims role

Trium Cyber, a  Lloyd’s of London cyber insurance specialist that  entered the market at the start of this year with former Aspen leaders and fresh capital backing from Pelican Ventures and third-party capital providers, has secured an industry veteran as its first chief claims officer.

David Rock (Pictured) is to join the US-based services company as CCO, as well as its management team. The announcement was made by

Rock comes to Trium from Allied World, where he most recently served as North American head of cyber and E&O claims. In addition to creating and managing Allied World’s cyber response practice, he had broad oversight for all professional lines claims.

Josh Ladeau, CEO of the newly formed operation, said: “Dave is a tremendous asset and one of the industry’s foremost experts in adjudicating cyber matters. He brings a depth of experience and expertise that further supports the value proposition we bring to our clients.”

Rock commented: “I’m honored to join Trium as its Chief Claims Officer,” said Mr. Rock. “I look forward to creating an advanced claims platform with an emphasis on real-time loss mitigation. Trium is entering the market at a time when fresh capacity and new approaches are needed. Our proprietary underwriting, risk-management, and loss mitigation strategies will set us apart from our peers.”
