Lloyd’s insurer Apollo bolsters board with ex-KPMG veteran

Specialist re/insurer  Apollo Group Holdings has appointed a former KPMG veteran as an independent non-executive director of its managing agency board.

Sian Hill (Piictured) is a chartered accountant with extensive experience of the banking and insurance sectors. She has spent the majority of her career at KPMG, becoming a tax partner in 1996, specialising in the financial services sector. In recent years Hill focused on the insurance market, working with a wide range of international insurance and reinsurance groups, intermediaries and Lloyd’s market participants.

Hill is also a non-executive director of Yealand Fund Services, Suffolk Building Society and Cordiant Digital Infrastructure, and a trustee of Place2Be, a UK children’s mental health charity.

David Ibeson, Apollo Group CEO, said: “Sian brings a wealth of experience to our managing agency board and we very much look forward to her joining our team. Her knowledge and external perspective on the insurance market will be very valuable as Apollo continues to grow and focus on delivering our plan. We are delighted to continue attracting excellent talent to the Apollo team.”
