Lockton Re hires Hiscox broker for specialty build out

Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of broker Lockton, has appointed Peter Wilkie to its specialty division as a broker reporting to unit head Paul Upton.

Wilkie was most recently deputy line underwriter - war, terrorism & political violence at Hiscox, having spent 13 years there, starting in accountant roles and moving into underwriting.

Upton, head of specialty division, Lockton Re, said: “We continue to build our Specialty capability and Peter is a great addition to our expanding team as we focus on offering exceptional client service with diverse expertise. We are helping our growing client base to reap the benefits of a new reinsurance perspective through a digital lens. His Underwriting experience will bring an important alternative perspective to clients combined with very relevant expertise in War, Terrorism, Political Violence, Credit & Political Risk.”
