Lockton Re lures ex-Canopius UK chief to expand global presence
Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of broker Lockton, has expanded its global team with a senior hire having over 20 years of experience trading within the London Market, formerly at Canopius and Aon.
Sarah Willmont has been appointed as a senior broker at Lockton Re. Based in London, she will work within the retrocession & property specialty division as well as supporting the London Market and global production activity.
Willmont began her career as a broker at Benfield, latterly evolving into Aon Benfield. She then moved into underwriting in 2014 with Canopius and held a number of senior roles, including as an active underwriter and CEO of Canopius UK.
