Mapfre Re appoints new LatAm head

Mapfre Re, the reinsurance arm of Mapfre Group, has appointed a new regional manager for Latin America, succeeding Guillermo Espinosa who is retiring after 14 years at the business.

Carmen Bueso (pictured), the new regional manager of Mapfre Re LatAm, has held various positions of responsibility within the company, including the technical sub-directorate in Chile and the management of the Mapfre Group Business Area. She joined the company in 2006.

Bueso will also join as a member of the management committee of Mapfre Re.

Espinosa joined Mapfre Re in 2009 to manage the Bogota office, and in 2016, assumed the regional management of Mapfre Re for Latin America.
