Marine insurer Skuld sees strong growth in mutual P&I renewal 2023/24

Marine insurer  Skuld increased its mutual protection and indemnity (P&I) gross tonnage by 7.8% to 103.3 million tonnes at its 2023/24 renewal, with “substantial growth” in other lines of business – hull and machinery, charterers, offshore/energy and FDD.

The company reported strong and robust financials in line with its growth targets.

Ståle Hansen (pictured), Skuld president and CEO, said: “We are delighted to again have successfully renewed our P&I policies, aligned with all growth targets. This is a testament to our commitment to providing our clients with comprehensive, reliable, and cost-effective insurance solutions, combined with exceptional service levels. We remain grateful for the loyalty demonstrated by our membership. Our experienced team of underwriters and claims handlers look forward to working closely with our members, brokers, and clients to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensuring prompt and fair claims settlements in the years to come.

“I extend my gratitude to the dedicated team efforts made by all Skuld colleagues involved in this year’s successful renewal, as we continue providing our members, clients and brokers with second-to-none service, making sure that they can all rest assured with Skuld.”
