Marsh & McLennan hires deputy general counsel from S&P Global
Marsh & McLennan Companies has appointed Katherine Brennan as deputy general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer.
Brennan will report to Peter Beshar, executive vice president and general counsel of Marsh & McLennan, and will be based in the company’s New York headquarters.
Brennan most recently served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary at S&P Global (formerly McGraw Hill Financial).
Prior to that, she served in a number of leadership roles at Marsh & McLennan, including general counsel of Guy Carpenter, senior corporate counsel and assistant corporate secretary, from 2008 to 2015.
"I am delighted to welcome Kate back to Marsh & McLennan," said Beshar. "Kate’s significant industry experience, strong working relationships with our management team and board of directors, and demonstrated track record of managing complex legal, governance and regulatory matters make her an ideal choice for this important leadership role."
