Marsh McLennan plucks AIG C-suite leader to run New Zealand business
Global brokerage Marsh McLennan (MMC) has appointed a new CEO and president for New Zealand, who has 30 years of industry experience and joins from AIG.
Toni Ferrier (pictured) has been appointed as CEO, Marsh McLennan New Zealand, and president, Marsh New Zealand. Based in Auckland, she will report to David Bryant, CEO, Marsh McLennan Pacific, and Josh Roach when he takes up his role as president, Marsh Pacific, on 1 January, 2024.
In this role, Ferrier will be responsible for Marsh McLennan’s businesses in New Zealand, which operate across 11 locations. She will work closely with Martin Lewington, CEO, Mercer New Zealand, to develop the company's superannuation, health and benefits, and investment capabilities across the country.
Ferrier joins Marsh McLennan from AIG, where she has been CEO of AIG New Zealand since January 2020. With 30 years’ industry experience, Ferrier has held senior leadership positions at Vero, Lumley, Wesfarmers, and Crombie Lockwood. She is currently a board member of the insurance council of New Zealand and previously served as commissioner of the New Zealand earthquake commission for two years.
