MGA Landmark looks to expand in PI market with FCA hire

UK-based specialist managing general agent (MGA) Landmark Underwriting has hired a senior associate from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as head of professional indemnity (PI) for UK and Europe.

Kate Albert (pictured) has 20 years of experience in the PI market. Prior to joining the FCA in 2018, she was a PI underwriter at Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe, and previously worked at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe.

In her new role, Albert will be based in Landmark London headquarters.

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, group CEO of Landmark, said: “We at Landmark are pleased that Kate Albert has chosen to join Landmark. Her appointment complements our growing PI offering and Kate’s expertise makes us stand out even further, especially in our current marketplace.”

Albert commented: “I am delighted to be joining Landmark and have been following their successes over a short number of years since they set up. Their culture and values are market leading for a forward thinking MGA business especially one that is going through a growth period. I am looking forward to starting and working with everyone.”
