MGA Redline gets Lloyd’s Coverholder status; seeks to transform reinsurance landscape
Lloyd’s has granted coverholder status to Redline Underwriting, known as Reinsurance Distribution Lines, allowing it to further expand and diversify its lines of business, with the goal of transforming into a full multi-line MGA.
Redline said Lloyd's Coverholder status strengthens its facultative reinsurance solutions for the Latin American market.
Redline Underwriting is headquartered in Brickell Miami with presence in Mexico City. The company is establishing key partnerships with several Lloyd's syndicates. The firm operates and underwrites in multiple classes of business, including general liability, political violence, and is looking to expand into areas such as property and aviation.
By integrating the strength and reach of the Lloyd's market, Redline plans to enhance distribution strategies through its broker network and cedant partners, paired with innovative digital tools.
The company said its aim is to "redefine and elevate" the standards of reinsurance underwriting and "revolutionise" the reinsurance landscape in the London market by changing the way capacity is delivered.
Juan Salazar, managing director of Redline Underwriting, said: "We are deeply honoured to join the Lloyd's community by becoming a Coverholder. Our focus has always been on providing unique distribution solutions to the Lloyd's market, amplifying value through innovation, and our robust ties with the Latin American region. This significant achievement not only sets us apart but fortifies our MGA's foundational strategy."
