MGAA bolsters board expertise with HDI appointment

The  Managing General Agents' Association (MGAA) has bolstered its board expertise with the appointment of a seasoned industry veteran who holds two decades of experience in the delegated authority space. The appointee has worked at HDI, Arch Insurance International, Cooper Gay, and Pioneer Underwriters.

Jade Wilcox (pictured) joins MGAA as a board member.

Wilcox has over 20 years’ multi-class and multi territory experience in the delegated authority space and prior to joining HDI in 2021, was underwriting manager at Arch Insurance International for over seven years. She has also held roles at Cooper Gay & Co, where she was a binding authority broker and Pioneer Underwriters, as a delegated authority underwriter.

The association said Wilcox brings insights on the key issues facing the MGAA community, as well as expert knowledge on the technological solutions available across the market to help insurers both manage and mitigate risk.

Mike Keating, MGAA CEO, said: “Jade is an excellent appointment to the board and brings significant experience in the Delegated Authority space having already demonstrated her commitment and support for the MGA community for a number of years. Her expertise and knowledge of the MGA landscape and the operational issues facing MGAs will be invaluable as we continue to grow our membership and support and promote the MGA sector in the UK and Ireland. The addition of Jade to the board adds yet further strength and expert guidance to the Association.”
