Miller hires FM Global talent to grow energy business in Asia

Specialist re/insurance broker  Miller has bolstered its energy capabilities in Asia with a senior hire from FM Global.

Bonifasius Dipati (Boni) joins Miller as a risk engineer in its Singapore energy team. Dipati will report to head of energy, Asia Pacific, Matt Hooker.

Dipati entered the insurance market in 2020 having previously spent over 10 years within the energy sector. Prior to joining Miller, Dipati spent three years as a risk consultant specialist at FM Global. Previously, Dipati has worked at Elliot Ebara and Industrial Power Technology as a turbine engineer.

In the new role, Dipati will support Miller’s clients with risk management advice, complex claims support and will act as a technical interface between clients and the insurance market's own risk engineering teams. Dipati will be focused on helping Miller grow its power business within its wider energy portfolio.

Hooker said: “I am delighted to welcome Bonifasius to Miller. His industry and engineering expertise will be an important addition to Miller’s Asian Energy proposition. In particular, Boni will strengthen our risk advisory capabilities for clients in the region, helping us further to access the broadest possible cover at the best available terms”.

Dipati said: “I’m excited to be joining the growing Singapore Energy team at Miller. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team to help build our network of clients in Asia using my industry and technical experience to give the best possible advice and service.”
