Mills departure prompts reshuffle at Endurance
Endurance has said it will not be naming a direct replacement for Peter Mills, its chief underwriting officer and head of global specialty and Europe property and casualty (P&C) who left the re/insurer this week.
Switzerland-based Mills joined Endurance in 2013 from Tokio Millennium Re where he most recently served as strategic underwriting officer. A number of existing executives will fill his shoes.
On the specialty side of the business, Christoph Virchow and Adrian Poxon will act as co-heads of global specialty business.
Virchow joined Endurance in November 2012 as head of global trade credit and surety and assumes the role while retaining his underwriting responsibilities.
Poxon joined Endurance in August 2014 as head of global marine and energy and also assumes the role while retaining his underwriting responsibilities.
Finally, Stefan Beine, formerly head of European property catastrophe business becomes head of Europe property, casualty and catastrophe reinsurance.
