MS Amlin attracts former RSA exec to strengthen board

Lloyd's global re/insurer  MS Amlin Underwriting (MS AUL) has appointed a new independent non-executive director (iNED) to further strengthen its board of directors.

Julie Hopes will also take over as chair of the Risk and Solvency Committee later this year, subject to regulatory approval, assuming the role from Gilles Bonvarlet (pictured) who will be retiring from the MS AUL Board after over eight years of service as a director.

Hopes has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including board experience at executive and non-executive level. She is a seasoned board committee chair, holding current board positions at Saga plc and West Bromwich Building Society, and previously chairing the risk committee at Co-Op Insurance. During her executive career, Hopes was the managing director for insurance at Tesco Bank and international operations director at RSA.
