MS Amlin has recorded ¥87.4 billion ($780 million) in nat cat losses including hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria as well as earthquakes in Mexico.
The consolidated net income for the second quarter (July-September) of its financial year ending March 2018 shrank to ¥75.7 billion from ¥98.4 billion in the same period a year ago.
The company now forecasts a net income of ¥145.00 billion for the financial year ending March 2018, 31.1 percent below the results recorded in the previous year.

14 February 2018 MS Amlin has reported a net loss of ¥84.900 billion (£569 million) for the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2017 after a net profit of ¥18.60 billion in the same period of 2016.
8 January 2018 Specialty re/insurer MS Amlin has established a new Bermuda-domiciled special purpose reinsurer and raised some $55 million from third party investors to back the venture.
