Munich Re at Lloyd’s lands Chaucer veteran of over 21 years

Chaucer’s former financial institutions class underwriter has joined  Munich Re Syndicate after more than 21 years with the Lloyd’s insurer.

Stuart Hare joined Munich Re Syndicate earlier this month as senior financial lines underwriter.

Hare was previously class underwriter and head of the financial risks team at Syndicate 1084 for over seven years. He worked at Chaucer in roles of increasing responsibility until November 2022.

Hare joined Chaucer in 2001 and is a specialist financial institutions class underwriter with over 19 years of market experience. He joined the FI market in 2002 and was previously at NCM Credit Insurance. He is ACII qualified.

“I am pleased to be joining Nick [Kirk], Michaela [Minton] and Shylene [N. ]for my first day at Munich Re Syndicate. I look forward to catching up again with my friends and colleagues in the market,” Hare said announcing his move on LinkedIn.
