Munich Re’s Yannis Korgialos reveals the reinsurer’s approach to technology

Startups are developing interesting business models which are set to change the way people are buying insurance, says Yannis Korgialos, partner development manager at Munich Re Digital Partners. One growing trend is insurance on demand, particularly in motor and content insurance, he notes.

To take advantage of technology and develop the necessary capabilities, companies need to have staff with the required skills, Korgialos notes. In conversation with Intelligent Insurer at the Intelligent InsurTECH Europe conference, he explains the important role diversity plays in Munich Re’s strategy.
