Navigators hires Everest Re executive for NavPro LATAM expansion

Specialty insurer Navigators has appointed Charles Juarbe as head of Latin America and the Caribbean for NavPro as part of its expansion plan for the unit.

NavPro is the company’s business unit that underwrites financial, professional and casualty product lines in the international markets.

Navigators has been expanding its presence in the global financial lines market, operating internationally, from its Lloyd’s platform since 2005, in Continental Europe since 2014 and North Asia since earlier this year.

Juarbe will be responsible for building and developing the newly-formed NavPro Latin America and Caribbean platform. His background in building a financial lines book of business from the ground up, combined with his relationships, will be valuable in advancing Navigators’ commitment to providing its brokers and insureds with the innovative solutions that are required in this growing marketplace, according to the press release.

Juarbe joins Navigators from Everest Re. He will be based in Navigators’ Miami office and report to Paul Shore, Head of NavPro International.
