Nexus adds ex-Aviva CEO Andrew Moss to main board as part of strategic growth plan

Specialty managing general agent (MGA) Nexus Group has appointed Andrew Moss as an independent non-executive chairperson on the Nexus Underwriting Management's main board as part of its strategic growth plan.

Moss was previously group CEO of Aviva, and prior to that spent four years as director of finance, risk management and operations at Lloyd’s of London.

Colin Thompson, Nexus Founder and Group CEO, said: “This is a fantastic move for Nexus. Andrew will provide independent strategic advice and guidance to the Nexus executive and shareholders. His wide array of experience places him in the ideal position to provide thought leadership and advice on the strategy, financial performance and future growth of the Group; in addition his market knowledge and insight will enable us to continue our journey as the number one virtual insurer and strategically manoeuvre Nexus to it next stage of development.”

Moss commented: “Nexus has made remarkable progress over the last few years and I look forward to working with the Nexus team to ensure that the group continues on its growth path and achieves its strategic aims.”
