Nexus looks to expand financial institutions capabilities with Hiscox hire

Specialty managing general agent (MGA) Nexus Group has hired Denise Socrates from Hiscox to expand its financial institutions capabilities in the US.

Socrates will join Nexus' US management & professional liability team as vice president. Based in the firm's New Jersey office, she will help build out Nexus’ financial institutions capabilities mirroring its current offering in the private company and not-for-profit management liability space. Her responsibilities will include directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, crime, employed lawyers, cyber and E&O.

Socrates has more than 16 years’ experience in management and professional lines, building and managing complex books of business. She previously worked at Hiscox USA, where she managed their financial institutions business in the North East regions.
