OneBeacon swoops on Swiss Re for new chief information officer

US-based OneBeacon Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation, has appointed a new chief information officer for its US operations from Swiss Re.

Vineet Bansal joins OneBeacon with over 20 years of leadership and innovation technology experience, including 13 years at Fidelity Investments and most recently, over three years as chief technology officer for iptiQ, Swiss Re’s digital startup offering insurance platforms for life and health brands.

He will report to Intact’s chief technology officer Christian Menkens and will be based in the company’s New York City office.

Menkens said: “With Vineet’s leadership expertise and innovative visions around technology, I believe he will make an exceptional addition to Intact.”
