Palomar launches environmental unit under ex-Aon/AIG hire
US specialty insurer Palomar Holdings has hired an environmental underwriting veteran from CapSpecialty, with a background at Aon and AIG, to expand its casualty franchise.
The insurer has appointed Brian Pushic (pictured) as vice president, casualty underwriting, head of environmental. He will be responsible for launching the company’s environmental practice.
Pushic has more than 15 years of experience in the environmental insurance industry. He joins Palomar from CapSpecialty where he was Head of environmental and managed an underwriting division focused on environmental casualty and monoline pollution business. Prior to CapSpecialty, he held positions at Aon and AIG.
