Pioneer introduces specialty contractors’ liability capability; appoints head

Pioneer Special Risk (PSR), a division of Pioneer Underwriters, has launched a specialty contractors’ and crane operators’ liability underwriting capability with the appointment of Mary Wiseley as senior vice president.

Based in San Diego, Wiseley will lead the newly established team, and will report to Gene Hinman, US CEO of Pioneer.

Wiseley has over 25 years of risk management experience, having held management and leadership roles with specialists including Vela, Arrowhead and AIG.

Hinman commented: “I am excited that PSR is further extending its underwriting capabilities in the United States, to deliver high quality casualty solutions for specialty contractors and crane operators.

“Mary Wiseley has an outstanding track record in this specialist sector and I am delighted that she will be adding her expertise to the PSR team.
