QBE Re executive joins QuanTemplate

QuanTemplate Technologies, a financial technology company formed by former reinsurance executives, has appointed Iain Davie as senior solutions architect with immediate effect.

Davie joins QuanTemplate from QBE Re, where he developed a catastrophe-modelling analytics system that was implemented across the business.

In his new role, Davie will strengthen QuanTemplate’s ability to meet increasing demand for its data integration and analytics services. He will report to co-founder and CEO Adrian Rands.

Davie will assist London market clients in gaining benefits such as expense ratio improvements through integration technologies, which automate existing systems and enhance senior managers’ ability to make data-driven decisions.

Rands commented: "InsurTech is not only about disruption in distribution but, by combining rigorous scientific methodology with technological advances, it is making tangible performance improvements to underwriting businesses and delivering much sought-after cost and efficiency savings.

"I am very pleased to welcome Iain to QuanTemplate, whose experience and ability will be extremely valuable to clients in gaining these benefits and an edge in a highly competitive environment."
