R&Q appoints Scopia managing partner as non-executive director
Global specialty insurer R&Q Insurance Holdings has appointed the managing partner of Scopia Capital, one of its largest shareholders, as a non-executive director.
Jerome Lande (pictured) has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.
Lande has over 20 years of leadership experience as an investor. He currently serves as managing partner and deputy CIO at Scopia Capital Management.
Lande co-founded Coppersmith Capital Management, where he was managing partner and portfolio manager until it combined with Scopia in 2016.
R&Q has recently split its business into two operating entities, a programme management segment called Accredited, and legacy insurance which trades as R&Q Legacy. The company is currently in the process of divesting Accredited.
