RSG beefs up its national transportation practice with two hires

Ryan Specialty Group (RSG), has named Doug Hathaway as head of its national transportation practice within RT Specialty, its wholesale brokerage business.

Hathaway is also named as head of Interstate Insurance Management, RSG’s commercial transport programme, with Jack Buchan, its current president and chief executive officer due to retire on June 30, 2021.

RSG also named Dennis Beecher to the role of president of RT Specialty in its Johnstown, PA, office.

Patrick Ryan, founder, chairman and CEO of RSG, praised both appointments for their deep knowledge and experience in the transportation industry. “I am excited to watch RSG’s transportation offerings continue to thrive and grow under their leadership,” he said.
