Sedgwick hires from Charles Taylor to target new growth opportunities

Technology-driven risk solutions provider  Sedgwick has hired a senior executive from Charles Taylor to help identify and secure new business opportunities, as well as strengthen its client relationships.

James Norman (pictured) joins Sedgwick as business development director for its international operations.

Norman has more than 20 years of experience in the global insurance sector, as well as a strong network of industry contacts, specifically across the African continent.

Most recently, Norman served as global head of strategy and business development for over three years at Charles Taylor Adjusting. Prior to that, he was head of the insurance practice and market lead for business development and sales in East Africa at Big Four accounting firm KPMG.

Eric Malterre, chief client officer – international at Sedgwick, said: “[Norman] has a strong track record of success as a thought leader and innovative strategist.
