Sompo International appoints Christopher Gallagher as executive director

Bermuda-based Sompo International has appointed Christopher Gallagher to the board of directors as an executive director.

Gallagher currently serves as the chief risk officer and group actuary of Sompo International’s commercial property and casualty business (SI Commercial P&C). He joined Sompo in September 2015.

John Charman, executive chairman of the SIH board of directors, said: “I am delighted that Chris will be joining the Board of Sompo International Holdings. I have had the privilege of working with Chris for over 15 years and have great respect for his leadership skills, his depth of industry knowledge and his broad global insurance and reinsurance experience.
