Sompo Japan Nipponkoa reports profit increase for first six months

Insurance firm Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Holdings has reported increased profits for the first six months of 2015.  The company posted a net income of ¥28.6 million (£152,000) for the six months ending September 30 of this year, compared with ¥15.4 million for the same time period last year.  Net premiums written also increased in the first six months of 2015 to ¥1.3 million, compared with ¥1.2 million in the first six months of last year.
