Specialist MGA plucks underwriters from IGI to launch finpro lines
Specialist MGA Arrow Risk Management plucked a pair of underwriters from specialist commercial re/insurer International General Insurance (IGI) in a bid to launch its own financial and professional lines underwriting practice.
Andrew Wood will step in to lead the new practice at the conclusion of his contractual term with IGI, where he has been a financial institutions underwriter since 2008.
Ben Cubitt will also make the trip from IGI, where he has been a senior underwriter for financial institutions.
Mark Harrington, chief underwriting officer of Arrow Risk, said: “Andrew and Ben are two extremely experienced and successful underwriters who are committed to building out a well-balanced book of business over the long-term, and we are delighted they have chosen the Arrow platform from which to achieve this aim.”
