Swiss Re names new head of Western and Southern European markets

Swiss Re has appointed Nikhil da Victoria Lobo as market executive for Western and Southern Europe for reinsurance, effective July 1.

He succeeds Claudia Cordioli who was appointed chief financial officer of the reinsurance business unit on in March.

Lobo is currently the managing director and head of Americas for Swiss Re's public sector solutions (PSS) division.

Lobo has nearly 20 years' experience in the re/insurance industry. He started his career at Swiss Re's Securitas Capital in 2001 before working as an underwriter in the Latin American facultative property team. In 2008 he joined the company's PSS business as one of its first client managers.
