Swiss Re senior offshore energy underwriter moves to Faraday

Faraday Underwriting, part of the  General Re Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, has hired a senior underwriter from Swiss Re in London as it continues to build out its energy practice.

Claire Seffens (pictured) has joined Lloyd's insurer Faraday, which has recently entered the energy class of business under the leadership of Richard Pursey.

Seffens most recently served as a senior offshore energy underwriter at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, according to her LinkedIn. She has been with the company for almost 15 years.

Pursey joined Faraday in November last year as head of energy. He was previously global E&P chief underwriting officer and SVP at Liberty Specialty Markets
