US P&C reinsurers improve 9M underwriting results

A group of 18 US property/casualty (P&C) reinsurers has improved the combined ratio to 98.2 percent in the first nine months of 2018 from 111.9 percent in the same period a year ago, according to a survey of reinsurers’ statutory underwriting results conducted by the Reinsurance Association of America (RAA).
