Verisk lifts inside innovator for free rein in UK claims
Data analytics company Verisk tapped a claims tech innovator whose own start-up it bought in 2018 and gave him freer rein over its claims works in the UK on behalf of insurers.
Chris Sawford (pictured) becomes managing director of claims for the United Kingdom as the latest step in his strategic initiatives to help insurer claims teams boost automation, increase efficiency and contain costs amid high inflation and supply chain disruption.
Sawford co-founded Validus-IVC, a top provider of claims management solutions in the UK, which Verisk acquired in 2018.
“Chris’s leadership and ongoing initiatives throughout the business have accelerated our efforts to better support the operational and digital aspirations of our clients in the UK and Continental Europe,” Verisk's president of claims solutions Maroun Mourad said.
The focus will be on automated solutions for personal injury, motor and property claims amid high inflation, as well as subrogation and fraud detection tools, all buttressed by recent European based businesses, Verisk said.
