VIG Re bolsters senior management with new chief actuary

VIG Re, the reinsurance company of Vienna Insurance Group, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of a chief actuary and head of reserving.

Dana Bohatová Chládková (pictured) will take up the post with effect from May 1.

Bohatová Chládková is an experienced financial and insurance expert with a strong focus on actuarial matters. Prior to joining VIG Re, she worked for nine years as the head of the actuarial mathematics department at Komerční pojišťovna, a member of the Société Générale Group, and for thirteen years in the actuarial audit and advisory at Deloitte and KPMG.

“I am very pleased to welcome Dana to VIG Re. Her extensive experience as industry practice leader - amongst others with Solvency 2 and IFRS 17 standards - will be a great value for our senior management team. Moreover, I appreciate Dana’s skills to build and lead great teams, and I look forward to working closely with her soon,” said Johannes Martin Hartmann, VIG Re’s CEO and chairman of the board of directors.

Bohatová Chládková commented: “I feel very delighted to take on this role at VIG Re, a successful, growing, and dynamic reinsurer. In my new role, I will focus not only on development and delivery of VIG Re’s reserving practices and strategy but also on making a positive impact for all stakeholders, including VIG Re clients, our people, and society.”
