VIG Re revamps management structure in efficiency push

Czech Republic-based reinsurer VIG Re has realigned its organisational structure and management responsibilities. The changes, which it claims will drive “operational efficiencies”, are effective from April 1, 2018.

As part of the changes, Dušan Bogdanović will lead VIG Re's new foreign operations unit, coordinating operations in the current and newly planned branch offices and the subsidiary of the company.

In addition, Bogdanović will lead the establishment of a new service company based in Belgrade, responsible for administrative and analytical support of the underwriting entities.

In order to focus on his new role, Bogdanović will step down from his current position as member of the board of directors. With effect from April 1, the board will comprise Johannes Martin Hartmann (chairman), Ivana Jurčíková and Tomasz Rowicki.

Patrick Chevrel, head of the Western Europe, will take over market responsibility for Italy, in addition to his responsibilities for France, Belgium and Luxemburg.

Olaf Dietrich, head of non-life underwriting will assume responsibility for the accident & health line of business in addition to the property & casualty business assumed by the company.
