VIG reveals ‘new constellation’ of leadership line-up in advance
The managing board of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) has revealed a new constellation of its managing board as of July 1, 2023, with Hartwig Löger (Pictured) becoming chief executive officer (CEO) and Peter Höfinger his deputy.
As of July, VIG’s board will be composed of Löger, CEO and chairman of the managing board, Höfinger, deputy CEO and deputy chairman of the board, Liane Hirner, CFRO, Gerhard Lahner, Gábor Lehel and Harald Riener.
Elisabeth Stadler and Peter Thirring will not extend their mandates “at their own request”, which expire on June 30, 2023 due to planned retirements.
All management board mandates will run until June 30, 2027.
The future composition of the VIG managing board was unanimously decided by Vienna Insurance Group’s supervisory board.
“By determining the composition of the Managing Board from 1 July 2023 at an early stage, we are not only demonstrating the stability and continuity that VIG Group stands for. The qualified and multi-disciplined Managing Board team complements each other excellently and is very well coordinated,” said Günter Geyer, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vienna Insurance Group.
