WR Berkley appoints new CUO of Verus Underwriting

Verus Underwriting Managers, a part of WR Berkley Corporation, has hired Donna Pyle as its chief underwriting officer (CUO).

Pyle has previously worked with Colony Specialty, a member of Argo Group International Holdings. Most recently, she was the vice president of underwriting. She has also served as the casualty operations manager and assistant vice president of regulatory compliance for a number of years.

Marlo Edwards, president of Verus, said: "We are excited for Donna to join our team. Her background is truly an asset to the team and I am sure it will allow us to expeditiously drive many of our initiatives."
