WR Berkley Syndicate 1967 to begin underwriting at Lloyd’s China

WR Berkley has announced that WR Berkley Syndicate 1967 has established an underwriting division at Lloyd’s China to begin underwriting business on the Lloyd’s China platform from January 1, 2016. “WR Berkley Syndicate 1967 was established in 2009 to bring the WR Berkley Corporation brand and underwriting expertise to the Lloyd’s market,” said William Berkley, executive chairman. “In a relatively short period, Syndicate 1967 has established itself as a leading underwriter in its chosen classes of business. Access to high-quality re/insurance is critical to economic growth in China, and the establishment of this new division at Lloyd’s China is a testament of our commitment to and enthusiasm for the region and the Lloyd’s platform.”
