XL boosts Latin America with underwriter hire

XL Group has appointed Ana Dores as senior professional indemnity underwriter for Iberia and Latin America, as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

Dores is based in Madrid and reports to Javier Ybarra, financial lines regional underwriting manager Iberia and Latin America.

Dores started her career as a financial lines underwriter, covering a wide range of products, including D&O and PI. Before joining XL Group she was at AIG and Liberty International Underwriters.

Ybarra said: “I’m truly delighted to have Ana join us. Her expertise will bring great value to our Iberian and Latin American clients, helping them manage their professional liability risk exposures so they can focus on moving their businesses forward. Ana’s local market knowledge and strong underwriting skills in Professional Indemnity makes her a great fit for this role.”
