XL Catlin expands accident and health coverage to Spain

XL Catlin’s insurance operation in Iberia has officially launched its accident and health (A&H) insurance solution for the Spanish market.

The coverage is designed to help Spain’s businesses protect their people and meet their duty of care in the face of emerging risks and heightened security threats, the company said in a statement.

The solution offers global coverage and works by combining comprehensive personal accident and business travel insurance with a wide range of support and response services.

"Based on the highest international standards for people protection, we have created a solution adapted to the Spanish market and the risks its companies face," José Luis Gómez Banovio, head of A&H at XL Catlin, commented. "It proactively strengthens and supports a client’s duty of care to protect their people, from unexpected risks in the workplace to when travelling for business."

José Ramón Morales, country manager Iberia for XL Catlin’s insurance operation, added: "This is a really important new line of business for us which further complements our offering in Iberia. It’s a modern product that truly serves Spain’s businesses today."
