Insurers’ losses on LA wildfires hit $20.4bn through end-July

Insurers shelled out $20.4 billion for claims on early 2025 wildfires near Los Angeles through the end of July, an increase of $3.3 billion vis-à-vis a previously released figure from mid-May, updated data from the California Department of Insurance indicated.
