Key commercial liability lines rise, but can’t catch loss cost in 2026

Commercial general liability and auto enter 2026 on track for some 8% rate increase in the year, insufficient for the segments to recover profitability before 2027 as litigation risks continued largely untamed, analysts at the brokerage The Baldwin Group are saying to start the year.
