LA wildfires could inflict up to $35bn in losses; new blazes ignite

Insured property losses from the Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles could reach $35 billion, according to modelling firm Verisk. The estimate follows a new fire in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 22) and early reports of another on Thursday morning (January 23).
