Life, health & medical at the slaughterhouse: 8,000 jobs lost in May

The US insurance sector may have axed jobs at a heady pace for the seventh straight month, extending the cuts to some 60,000 for the period, the latest data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has indicated.
