Mapfre Re storms back into cat bonds with $145m wind shield

Mapfre Re, the reinsurance arm of Spanish re/insurer Mapfre, has re-entered the catastrophe bond arena with a $145 million issuance aimed at bolstering its European portfolio against its dominant peril: extreme wind.
