Markel promotes internal talent to head of terrorism in London
Global re/insurer Markel tapped an insider working its active assailant cover to take charge of its terrorism line from London as it seeks growth across the US, Asia and the London Market.
Chloe Gordge will step up to the post of head of terrorism in London, effective immediately, to lead the day-to-day running of Markel’s London terrorism portfolio and lead underwriting strategy for developing what Markel hopes will be market-leading insurance solutions for brokers and their clients. Gordge will continue reporting to Ed Winter, director of terrorism in London, at Markel.
Gordge joined the organisation as an underwriting assistant more than 11 years ago. She helped launch Markel’s active assailant product offering for US-domiciled business, including drafting the wording and developing a rating tool for US clients.
