Mercury General braces for up to $2bn LA wildfire losses

Los Angeles-based insurer Mercury General is facing gross catastrophe losses of between $1.6 billion and $2 billion from the California wildfires - excluding what it must pay into the FAIR Plan for its share of the $1 billion assessment approved Monday (February 11).
