Mercury General plots $538m in subrogation recovery on LA’s Eaton fire
California-based P&C carrier Mercury General has booked $538 million in expected subrogation recoveries from the local power utility on the January 2025 Eaton fire north of Los Angeles, a major step in its walk-back of a $2.2 billion gross hit to a $380 million net estimate.
