Mid-year property cat rates down around 10%, frequency covers resurrected

Softening continued apace at the June 1 reinsurance treaty renewals, with blended risk-adjusted property cat XoL rate on line down 10%, in a range of flat to down 20%, reinsurance brokerage Howden Re said of the ongoing renewal.
